Part of the CIVIC IN Webinar Series
On 23 July 2025, we shared the inspiring story of HYPATIA – a safe and inclusive space in Greece where migrant and refugee women come together to support one another, build new skills, and take action for change.
Through personal stories and real examples, we explored how small peer groups can grow into strong communities that make a real difference from the ground up.
This online session was part of the CIVIC IN webinar series – a collection of short and inspiring meetings that highlight how informal groups across Europe are creating positive social impact.
If you missed it, don’t worry – more stories are coming soon:
30 July – Spain: “Conectadas” – Using art and solidarity to fight loneliness
6 August – Romania: Youth documentaries giving voice to rural life
13 August – Hungary: Support structures for new civic groups
27 August – Poland: A legal “umbrella” helping informal groups act safely and effectively
